Jessica Damouni is an Australian/American Actress and Filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She is of Lebanese and Palestinian descent and was raised in Perth.
Jessica began her training at 17 in New York at The Lee Strasberg Institute of Theatre and Film. After graduating from Strasberg, she completed through to Advanced Studies Improv at UCB NY and performed improv around the city with various improv groups. She has since studied at Groundlings, The Freeman Studio and Shakespeare with Rob Clare.
Jessica's most notable roles include leading roles in Choke directed by Rolla Selbak, the Oscar qualifying film Like Salt directed by Darine Hotait and Tribeca Film Festival's Salam by Claire Fowler . She has been cast in roles on God Friended Me (CBS) and Crashing (HBO). She played a supporting role in the feature film Inspector Ike directed by Graham Mason. The film won Best Feature at the 2020 New Orleans Film Festival.
She is featured in commercials for brands such as Adidas, Fisher Price, Snickers, Dollar Shave Club, CT Lottery, Gillette Venus and more.
She wrote and acted with the sketch comedy group Terms Of Service. As well as creating online content, a show on BRICTV and MMN, the group performed live sketch comedy at festivals all over the country, including Hell Yes Fest and Chicago Sketch Fest.
As a writer, Jessica draws on her personal experiences to create raw, honest material. In 2019, she produced and acted in her one act play Our House which was inspired by her first trip to Lebanon. Most recently she has directed her first short film, Be Good which follows a young woman battling an eating disorder - the film will premiere in 2021.
When she's not acting or writing, she can be found running, training in Muay Thai or learning how to skateboard. She's run three Marathons for Team For Kids and trained in Martial arts for over four years. Passionate about the health of our planet and a vegan for over 7 years, she is currently working on an exciting project that involves vegan food and her Lebanese heritage.
